La Mer de Sable

La Mer de Sable (or Sea of Sand) was the first theme park that opened in France in 1963 on a large stretch of sand. The park is about 45 minutes north of Paris. It has been renovated a few times.

There are 3 adventure lands with 26 attractions. You will find great rides in the park. You will go through a forest, back to the time of pioneers, and through a desert.

One of the best features of the Sea of Sand park is the Cheyenne River ride with a 20 meter high slide.

The park is open from April/May to September.
However, they are not open everyday and you need to consult their calendar.

The park is normally open from 10:30 am - 6:00 pm.
