Disneyland Paris also known as Euro Disney is located just over 30 kilometers East of Paris. With the express RER A it takes about 35 minutes to get there from Paris. People coming from locations other than Paris, can take the The Thalys or Eurostar.
Disneyland Paris became one of the most popular destinations in Europe after it opened its doors in 1992. It took a few years to become profitable; therefore, it has been changed somewhat from the original Disneyland in order to appeal to European travellers.
The main park of Disneyland Paris pretty much resembles the American counterpart and contains the 5 theme parks: Main Street USA, Frontier land, Adventure land, Fantasy land, and Discovery land.
Normally the park opens at 9 AM on week-ends and 10 AM on week days, and closes between 6 PM to 11 PM depending on the time of year.
Next to Euro Disney is Walt Disney Studios, where you can take a peak inside the process of movie making.
You can also visit the Disney Village, the shopping and entertainment center of the resort.
Brand new to Paris Disney from August 17, 2010 is the addition of Toy Story Playland in the Toon Studio. In fact this is the first toy story playland in the disney parks worldwide.
For sport lover you can try golf all year round at the nearby Golf Disneyland. It consists of three 9-hole courses.
Some of the places where you can purchase your Paris Disneyland park tickets are: at the entrance door, Disney store on Champs-Elysées, and FNAC stores. You can book your Paris Disneyland Pass in advance online.
